Very fine, disposable acupuncture needles are place on the face and act by increasing the local production of collagen and elastin which strenghtens the structure of the skin.  This results in a general tightening of facial tissue and gives a smoother, firmer line to the face.  Auricular and body acupuncture are used to support the treatment by helping to balance the body and improve general health and wellbeing.  Very rarely the point at which the acupuncture needle is applied may slightly bruise.  Any bruising should disappear after a few days.
